From September 2005 Bosnian Handicrafts is implementing the project
"Centre
for transfer of traditional craft skills". The project is financed
by the European Union. The project will last 12 months and its implementation
will be monitored by NERDA.
The aim of the
project is to strengthen SMEs from North East Bosnia and Herzegovina
involved in craft production.
The main activities will include establishing
the Centre, improving structure for craft production, capacity building
for SMEs and their clients (craft producers) and a variety of activities,
which will improve the supply chain and lead to improved competitiveness
of handicrafts on local and foreign market. In specific, the Centre will provide
design services, product development, market research, marketing
services in domestic and foreign markets for 3 SMEs from
NE Bosnia:

ASSOCIATION "TREBAVA - SJEVER" MODRIČA
-
ASSOCIATION "ZORA" MILIĆI
-
ASSOCIATION "LUČA" BIJELJINA
The Centre will also provide training programs for 90 women from the
above mention associations to improve their skills and income in the
future.
