CRAFT TRAINING PROGRAMS COMPLETED

Within the project "Centre for transfer of traditional craft skills" 122 women were trained in handicraft production. In the period from March until May 2006, women from Modriča, Bijeljina and Milići area have attended the craft training programs, where they have learned, with the help of the Centres' experienced instructors and staff, the international production standards, and have specialized for production of clothes and accessories from Bosnian Handicrafts production program.

All the women will receive the certificate of graduation, while the most qualified among them will be given a chance to use the newly acquired skills to generate income.

Apart from strengthening the production capacity, the Centre has, after careful analyses of SMEs needs, developed and held "Capacity building training" for 3 SME-s from NE Bosnia and Herzegovina with focus on project self sustainability. The training held on June 21st in

Tuzla is the first of many consultations which the Centre will provide to target SMEs aiming to create new work opportunities.
